BRAMBLES has agreed to acquire a leading provider of technology-based transport and supply chain solutions in the USA for $US45 million.

According to the company, the acquisition of LeanLogistics would allow its CHEP pallet business to provide a new and value-enhancing service to customers.

LeanLogistics provides on-demand network optimisation and has a network with over 4000 transporters. CHEP views and tracks its pallet movements throughout the world, interfacing with manufacturers, logistics service providers and retailers.

The company hopes to combine CHEP’s customer and information base with LeanLogistics’ customer network and technology to reduce transportation costs and optimise supply chain efficiency.
