EXIMO has highlighted the importance of having clean air in manufacturing, and how its Optiflow ducting system can be used to ensure good air quality.
According to Eximo, air contamination within a production process can lead to product recalls, production losses, a fall in consumer confidence, as well as workplace safety implications and regulatory penalties.
The manufacturing process can produce numerous by-products which contaminate the air needed by production staff to function properly. Materials like dust, aerosols, oil mist, food additive residues, metal dusts, and chemical fumes, if not properly handled, can contaminate the general air supply and cause various health problems in workers.
Eximo says many Australian companies are faced with high costs associated with air quality management, involving inputs from specialist consultants, maintenance companies and equipment suppliers.
Eximo claims the use of efficient, well-designed and cost-effective ducting can help mitigate the costs and the risks of product contamination. The Eximo Optiflow system requires less operating power, and costs around 16 cents per kilowatt hour to operate.
According to Eximo, the Optiflow can provide a safe way of handling waste clippings and dust. It creates a negative pressure chamber across an entire factory or processing plant to eliminate the total static pressure of the whole system by as much as 50 per cent.
