CRANESAFE Australia has introduced Truck Mounted Concrete Pump assessments as part of its CraneSafe program.

According to CraneSafe, the new assessment means the company now covers 16 individual categories, all of which are part of Australian Standards AS1418 and AS2550.

In the 2007 to 2008 financial year, CraneSafe carried out a total of 3,656 assessments. This number grew to 4,584 in the 2008 to 2009 financial year.

CraneSafe says its independent inspection services provide clients with peace of mind by ensuring they meet their OH&S responsibilities in terms of crane equipment and use.

CraneSafe says it will soon be releasing versions of its daily Operator Log-Books for all tower cranes and vehicle loading cranes.

The CICA Crane Safety Manual has also been revised extensively in 2008. Additional CraneSafe Assessors have been appointed in all States to cover the additional inspections introduced.
