Forklift contract one of the biggest in NZ

NEW Zealand meat exporter PPCS has awarded a contract to AB Equipment to supply, service and manage its forklift truck fleet over three years, Forkliftaction writes.

According to the companies, the contract is one of the biggest forklift contracts awarded in New Zealand. The equipment provider will replace the meat exporter’s existing fleet of around 270 forklifts with newer Toyota forklifts.

The materials handling equipment company says its staff members are already visiting 20 meat warehousing sites across New Zealand to determine the scopes of requirements.

The firm will also provide all forklift fleet servicing for the meat exporter, as well as short-term rental requirements for the company when they experience increased demand during seasonal peaks.
