MATERIALS handling automation manufacturer Machinery Automation and Robotics (MAR) has been announced as a finalist in the Telstra 2008 Business Awards.
The awards aim to recognise ingenuity and innovation in businesses. Over 4500 businesses were nominated for the awards in 2008, and MAR is one of six finalists.
The company designs, builds and integrates automated materials handling and manufacturing solutions. It specialises in incorporating advanced robotics into production industries.
According to the manufacturer, the award nomination recognises the work and investment it has put into research and development. The R&D process allowed the company to develop its own proprietary technologies, resulting in competitive products.
Winners of the awards will be announced on 5 September 2008 at Hilton Sydney.
