New report shows increase in bin picking usage

Market analysis firm, AMC Hofmann, says it has released a world-first industry report focussed on bin picking and the material handling benefits it can have on a range of industries.

The market report - titled Bin Picking - is said to provide an in-depth insight into customer requirements, technologies, products and turnkey solutions.

According to AMC Hofmann, the results found an increased interest in the application of bin picking, which is the automated unloading of unsorted parts from transport boxes.

The market research company claims the increased interest is partly due to a rise in the need for the automation market, including manufacturers, to find new or additional possibilities to open up efficiency and cost reduction potentials by introducing process automation.

The report presents information about turnkey suppliers, system integrators and product and component manufacturers in Europe and North America.

It also includes information about the automation industry and technology leading companies including: ABB Robotics; Adept Technology; Cognex; Denso Robotics; Dynamis; Inos Automation; Sick; Motoman Robotics; MVTech; PPT Vision and Tordivel.

Data comprised in the report has been mainly generated by direct interviews conducted with the companies.
