SCLAA announces awards finalists

THE SUPPLY Chain and Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA) has announced the finalists in its inaugural Transport and Logistics (T&L) Industry Development Awards.

The awards are made up of the Queensland T&L Industry Futures Award and the T&L Future Leaders Award.

The Industry Future Award is awarded for the best proven record in providing people with an entry to and a pathway in the transport, supply chain and logistics industries. The Future Leaders Award is an award for individuals in the industry planning a career path.

Mount Gravatt Coach and Travel, Damco/Maersk Logistics, Kagan Logistics and the Queensland Government Chief Procurement Office are the finalists in the Queensland T&L Industry Futures Award.

Finalists for the T&L Future Leaders Award are Athol Carter from Hugh Sproat Transport, Desmond Roche of Powerlink Queensland, Michael Topia from Mrs Crocket’s Kitchen www.mrscrockets.com.au and Paul Yeoman of Kagan Logistics.

The winners will be announced at the Queensland Supply Chain & Logistics Conference dinner on 31 July 2008.
