Third party logistics provider opens RF-enabled facility

CROSS Docks Australia has opened their third multi-user warehouse and distribution centre which uses ISIS warehouse management system (WMS) and runs on radio frequency (RF).

According to the company, has now expanded its warehouse capacity to more than 20,000 square metres. The new facility is a response to increased growth and expansion of their clients’ businesses, and will also house and service new customers.

By opting to use RF technology, picking slips are no longer needed. This allows for increased productivity, order turnaround time and inventory accuracy.

One of the new customers AZ Designz was previously operating a distribution facility in-house but decided to outsource distribution operations to Cross Docks as the requirements became increasingly complex and difficult. This allowed the company to concentrate on its core business.
