WHOLESALE tyre supplier Tyres4U has launched a division which offers tyre servicing for forklifts and industrial vehicles.
Solid Plus debuted at Matex 2008 in Sydney on 15 April to 17 April 2008. It fits tyres and presses and puncture-proofs forklifts and heavy machining, working mostly in the mining, supply chain and transport industries.
The division already has 200 services providers signed up nationally, and will be backed by its parent company’s 14 warehouses which are scattered throughout Australia. Relying on this infrastructure, the division guarantees next-day service, and offers same-day service in most cities.
The service provider uses trucks with GPS, allowing clients to keep up to date with the projected arrival time of service personnel. It also has an online quoting system which uses electronic invoices to cut down on paper work.
The company claims to replace solid or radial and bias pneumatic tyres plus press-on-bands, with polyurethane wheels to be available soon.
