VDM secures BHP nickel ore haulage contract

VDM Group’s Perth subsidiary Cape Crushing and Earthmoving Contractors, has been awarded an ore haulage contract by BHP Billiton Nickel West.

The five-year haulage contract is said to be worth $20m, and is in addition to the company’s existing $40m three-year earthworks services contract for Nickel West.

The ore will be hauled 120km from the Cliffs Nickel Mine to Leinster for processing. According to the company, it secured the contract because of its focus on safety and continued improvements.
